We want you to feel confident and informed before starting therapy. Here you’ll find answers to common questions about insurance, feels, and the billing process.
-
Reframe You works with select insurance plans, including:
Aetna · Cigna · UnitedHealthcare · Anthem and several others.
Coverage varies based on your individual plan, deductible, copay, coinsurance, therapist, and state. Insurance participation may vary between our therapists.
We’ll help you understand the verification and billing process before beginning therapy. Your insurance company ultimately determines your benefits and financial responsibility.
-
Some clients may be eligible for a limited number of therapy sessions through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
EAP benefits vary by employer and program. If you plan to use EAP sessions, please provide your authorization information before scheduling so we can confirm the appropriate process.
-
Private pay is available for clients who are not using insurance or EAP benefits.
Before beginning therapy, you’ll receive clear information about session fees, payment expectations, and applicable practice policies so there are no surprises.
-
If you are paying for therapy without using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care. This helps you understand anticipated charges before beginning services and avoid unexpected bills.
You could then link to a more detailed Good Faith Estimate / No Surprises Act notice elsewhere on the site rather than putting all of the legal language on the Fees & Insurance page.
-
Insurance benefits can be confusing, and coverage varies by plan. We’ll help you verify your benefits before you begin therapy so you have a clearer understanding of your expected costs, including your deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
Benefit information provided by your insurance company is an estimate and does not guarantee coverage or payment. Your insurance plan ultimately determines your benefits and financial responsibility.
What to know before our first session
YOUR FIRST SESSIONYour first session is a chance to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to work toward. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
FOR ONLINE SESSIONSSessions are held securely online. At the time of your appointment, you’ll need to be physically located in a state where your therapist is licensed and have a private, comfortable space where you can talk openly.
BILLING & PAYMENTSPayments are processed securely through your care platform. Insurance benefits are verified when possible, but coverage is not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for any balance not covered by insurance.
CANCELLATION POLICYPlease provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments may incur a $150 fee. After two consecutive cancellations, recurring appointment times may be released.
